The Home Library Service is for residents of Waltham Forest who find it difficult to visit a library; bringing books and other items to your home FREE of charge.
There are many reasons why you may not be able to visit your library including disability, ill-health and caring responsibilities. The Home Library Service is there to ensure that you can still access library services from your own home when you find it difficult to travel to a library. Once your application has been processed, we will contact you to discuss the kinds of books you like to read and the format that you like to read them in. Some people prefer large print or enjoy audiobooks on CD to listen to. We will deliver books to your home via a courier service every four weeks and take away those that you finished with. There is no need to worry about books being returned late as we keep everything up to date.
If you would like to apply for the Home Library Service please download an application form. Forms are also available from your local library.
We ask that you get your form countersigned by somebody like your GP or another professional who understands your need for the Home Library Service.
Once your form is completed and countersigned please return it to Home Library Service, Walthamstow Library, E17 7JN or email it to libraries.Support@walthamforest.gov.uk
