Sutton’s Living Memory
Defining the Borough, Engaging Communities, Capturing and Preserving Memory and Making a Valuable Contribution to the Council's Role as a Place-Maker

Sutton's Museum and Heritage Service exists to preserve and promote Sutton's heritage, ensuring it is accessible, informative, creative and inspirational for local people, and recognising that it is a unique and valuable resource which fosters citizenship, civic pride and a sense of belonging.

The service plays a vital part in building community cohesion in a period of rapid population expansion and in a multi-faith, multi-cultural society as well as engaging those interested in their family history or the history of their street, school, and place of worship or organisation.

On this website you will find information about all that the London Borough of Sutton’s Heritage Service has to offer, from historic buildings to a diverse museum collections and more.
