Notice - Overdue Postal Reminders
From 1 January 2018 Merton’s library service will no longer send postal notifications to customers who have overdue items.
We would like to encourage our customers to register for email reminders. Unlike postal reminders, our email reminder service ensures you receive a reminder before your stock goes overdue as well as an overdue reminder.
To register your email address go to your account or speak to a member of staff.
Colliers Wood Library
The new Colliers Wood library is set to open in late January 2018. The temporary library closed on Saturday 16 December to allow staff time to transfer equipment and setup the new Colliers Wood Library. Customers needing to renew loaned items during the interim can take advantage of the borough’s excellent online service. Loaned items can also be renewed or returned to one of Merton’s six other libraries. Items due back whilst the library is closed, will be automatically extended until 31st January.
Merton has seven libraries for people who live work, study or visit the borough. Find out more about library opening times, locations, contact details and the range of services available at each of Merton's Libraries.

In recent years we have increased opening hours in all Merton’s libraries. This has been greatly assisted with the use of self service technology and the support of our volunteers. To meet ongoing financial challenges, from Tuesday 2 May 2017 our four branch libraries will have a reduced staffing presence at off peak times with a predominately self serve offer at these times. There will be a fully staffed service available in branch libraries at peak times from 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm from Monday to Friday and from 11 am to 4pm on Saturdays in branch libraries.
