Havering Libraries are open to everyone. It's free to join and you can borrow books and audio books. All our libraries offer self service facilities so that you can avoid the queues. Public computers and Wi-Fi are available in every library and provide free access to the internet. In addition you can access our library online reference collection, eBooks, eAudio and eMagazines service from the comfort of your own home.

We have lots of events for all ages, talks, craft activities, ICT support, reading groups, author visits and much more.
We offer a range of pre-school activities, craft clubs, chatterbooks and homework help. Reading Buddies offer one to one reading support.
All libraries are equipped with photocopying facilities, space to study. Meeting rooms are available for hire in Romford, Harold Hill, Hornchurch, Upminster and Elm Park Libraries. For more information see the Mettings and Conference Facilities page.

We are part of the London Libraries Consortium, which means you can use your Havering Library card in over 150 branch libraries across London & you have access to over 6,000,000 items of stock.
