There is more to volunteering than you think.

Bexley Library Service has a number of roles for volunteers in libraries.

Current vacancies include:

Central Library

Computer Buddy - Thursday and Friday mornings, Saturdays 2 - 4.30pm

Crayford Library

Toddlertime - Thursday - 9.45 - 11.45am

Erith Library

Computer Buddies - Various days and times

Thamesmead Library

Read With Me - Saturdays 10am-midday
Computer Buddies - Various days and times

Welling Library

Read with Me - Thursdays - 4- 5pm
Lego Club - Saturdays - 2-3pm
Computer Buddies - Various days and times


All Libraries

We need people who are interested in helping us set up Coding Clubs, Discovery Clubs and Digital Maker’s Clubs for children and young people. Days and times to suit this Digilab Volunteer role.


If you can spare an hour a week or a few hours a fortnight, then please get involved.

Home Library Service

Home Library Service

We are seeking volunteers to deliver our Home Library Service. This free service is available for any resident of Bexley who is unable to reach and use their local library.

Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme

If you are interested in volunteering as part of your D of E Award scheme, please fill in an application form.

Please take your completed application form to the library where you would like to volunteer.
