If you have previously read George R R Martins series a song of ice and fire, be warned, this book is not like those. This book is written in the style of a history book you may find in the citadel, very dry and information heavy. It’s a real shame because I really wanted to enjoy this book, but honestly it was a struggle to read, and I did contemplate not finishing it a few times. I do not think I will rush to read the second volume.
