Reading Well helps you to understand and manage your health and wellbeing using self-help reading.
The books provide useful information to help you understand your condition as well as step-by-step strategies and techniques to make positive changes. All have been tried and tested and found to be useful by health professionals.
Delivered by The Reading Agency in partnership with Libraries Connected, the programme is endorsed by health professionals and supported by Bexley libraries.
There are five book lists available:
- Reading Well for mental health
- Reading Well for young people
- Reading Well for children
- Reading Well for long-term conditions
- Reading Well for dementia
Titles from these collections are available to borrow from our libraries and as eBooks on Overdrive.
Chosen by readers and reading groups, the Reading Well Mood-boosting books collection is a national promotion of uplifting titles and includes novels, poetry and non-fiction.
