Free Eco Festival at Lesnes AbbeyLesnes Abbey Eco Festival

Read with Me sessions at Crayford Library

Read with Me offers one-to-one reading sessions with one of our reading buddies. It's a chance for your child to read out loud and improve their literacy skills.

Read with Me sessions will be running at Crayford Library throughout the summer so that children’s skills and confidence with reading can be maintained during the summer holidays.

Between 23 July and 29 August, sessions will be held on Tuesday mornings from 10am to 12 noon and Thursday afternoon from 2pm until 4pm.

Please book your session with staff at Crayford Library.


Join the Discovery Club!

Explore the world of science in your local library, with fun experiments and activities.

Get hands-on with science at Central, Bexleyheath and Welling Libraries and become a CREST Superstar on this 8-week course, part of the official British Science Association CREST Awards.

Track your progress in your own CREST Passport with special stickers and get an official badge and certificate when you reach the end.

Starting on Monday 23rd September at Erith Library and Wednesday 25th September at Crayford Library.

For children aged 7 to 11.

Discovery Club is Free to join but places are limited. To book your place or to find out more, contact staff at the relevant library.

Central Library’s Chatty Corner Group

A new group for people living with early stage dementia, their family, carers’ and friends has been set up at the Central Library in Bexleyheath.

This informal group meets over a cuppa for a friendly chat, puzzles and games. It’s a great opportunity to meet people too.

There’s no need to book – just come along on the 1st Friday of each month from 2pm – 3.30pm and join in.
