The Department for Education suggests using the Hungry Little Minds website for children under 5 years of age.

BookTrust have a page for engaging young children at home - Booktrust Home Time

BBC’s Newsround has advice if you and your children are worried about Coronavirus.

BBC teach is home to thousands of free curriculum-mapped videos, arranged by age-group and subject.

BBC Bitesize has activities and tips to help you with English, Maths and Science and lots of other topics and is suitable for children aged 3 to 16+ years.

Twinkl home learning hub has free access to a huge range of educational resources including activity packs and worksheets. 

The British Library has some unique collection items & expert commentary related to History, English, Religious Studies & Citizenship. 

Oxford Owl has home learning resources for parents with children in years 1-6.

Teach your monster to read is for children learning to read or older children who need a bit more practice. 

National Literacy Trust Family Zone has reading and writing resources, audiobooks, videos, competitions and reading challenges ideas and guidance for simple activities that will engage your children at home, while also benefiting their reading, writing and language development. 

The British Library’s Discovering Children’s Books website has lots of information about books and stories and some great activities.

Shakespeare Week website has lots of themed activities in their Kids’ Zone. There is also a printable booklet to track what children have been doing.

Michael Rosen has an amazing website of him reading and performing his poems, plus more resources.

The Maths Factor by Carol Vorderman for age 4 – 12 years and matched to the National Curriculum. 

Sumdog can help children age 6-14-years-old, practise maths through games. Free access gives you six different games for children to use. You can also sign up as a member.

ICT Games – a huge range of fun online games focussing on English and maths. 

Science Museum website has a range of learning games and apps that are free.

You can also visit the Science Museum’s collections online  and take virtual tours of the Natural History Museum and its collections.

British Science Week website has downloadable ‘Diverse Planet’ activity packs for early years, primary school and secondary school children.

National Geographic Kids has great science resources too.

Code for Life is an educational initiative, which aims to provide tools and materials to help teachers deliver the computing elements of the UK National Curriculum. 

Scratch coding website has a range of tutorials for different coding activities.

Kodable aim to make programming education accessible to everyone. 

Learn My Way provides a wide range of online learning courses including how to use a computer, online basics, Office programs, online safety and much more.
