Covid-19 – Reopening of libraries
All six of the Council-managed libraries have now re-opened and the Local Studies and Archives Centre is reopening on an appointment only basis, however, the first floor at Central Library remains closed at the current time.
Information about the services we are currently offering, the restrictions that are in place and amended opening hours can be found on the Covid-19 Updates page.
Our Community Managed Libraries are making their own plans for reopening – please visit their websites for updates.
Bostall Community Library is a friendly local library run by the Bostall Library Community Group with support from London Borough of Bexley. Situated on the corner of King Harolds Way and Westbourne Road, there has been a library here since 1939. Bus number 422 stops nearby and there is some on street parking.
Bostall Community Library operates its own membership scheme and stock that is separate from the Council Library Service and customers need a Bostall Community Library membership card to borrow books from the library.
