Covid-19 – Reopening of libraries
All six of the Council-managed libraries have now re-opened and the Local Studies and Archives Centre is reopening on an appointment only basis, however, the first floor at Central Library remains closed at the current time.
Information about the services we are currently offering, the restrictions that are in place and amended opening hours can be found on the Covid-19 Updates page.
Our Community Managed Libraries are making their own plans for reopening – please visit their websites for updates.

Blackfen Community Library is a friendly local library run by New Generation Community Trust with support from London Borough of Bexley. The library is in the heart of the local shopping area. Bus numbers 51 and 132 stop nearby. There is some on-street metered parking outside the library.
Blackfen Community Library operates its own membership scheme and stock that is separate from the Council Library Service and customers need a Blackfen Community Library membership card to borrow books from the library.
