Bexley Battle Gamers Volunteer Role Description

To assist with the Bexley Battle Gamers that brings together fans of table top war-gaming and collectable card games (CCGs).


Sessions run weekly at Crayford Library from 6.15-8.45pm. The volunteer is required to be there 30 minutes either side of the session to assist with set up and tidying away following the session.


With guidance from library staff to:

  • Lead and manage the activity group
  • Assist in preparing the practical arrangements for the group including preparing any equipment needed or setting up the space
  • Welcome new group members, engage and chat with attendees before, during and after each session and directing specific book or library enquiries to library staff
  • Help clear the area safely at the end of the session
  • Help staff to promote the activities of the group
  • Provide feedback to library staff as required
  • This is a physically active role in respect of setting up the space and equipment and moving library furniture

  • This is a role that required a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective delivery of the event

Volunteers will receive an induction to the library and appropriate training will be given. Volunteers in this role will need to able to carry out tasks independently but with guidance from staff.
