Events and activities

Bookstart
It is never too early to introduce children to books and reading. Merton Library Service supports the Bookstart programme which aims to provide free books for young children.
Reading Challenge scheme
Children can take part in the national Summer Reading Challenge which is extended to include children under 5 years old and teenagers up to the age of 16 years.
Computer and internet access
All Merton’s libraries have dedicated children’s computers that can be used for free. All computers are filtered to exclude inappropriate websites.
