Reading and Books

You will find a range of story books to suit all ages, tastes and interests. There are books to help with homework, talking books, graphic novels and more.

DVD and films

There are a wide range of children’s DVDs available in all libraries. Children can also enjoy film screenings in select libraries.

Special fun events and activities

We deliver a programme of fun events all year round. For details of up and coming events see children’s events in Merton Libraries.

Reading Challenge scheme

Children can take part in the national Summer Reading Challenge which is extended to include children under 5 years old and teenagers up to the age of 16 years.

Homework and study support

There is study space available in all libraries and our friendly and approachable staff are always happy to help with individual homework enquiries.

Computer and internet access

All Merton’s libraries have dedicated children’s computers that can be used for free. All computers are filtered to exclude inappropriate websites.
