Teachers, Schools and Playgroups Teachers, Schools and Playgroups

School classes and other groups working with children and young people are very welcome to visit their local library. The visits could be just one off visits to see where the library is and what resources it has to offer. They also offer library skills sessions for children so that they can find books and information for themselves (although they are always welcome to ask a member of staff).

Class Tickets

For RBK school classes that want to come regularly to a library and choose books, we offer a Class Visit ticket facility to each child. The Class Visit ticket enables each child to borrow 2 books or spoken word CD’s for 6 weeks. The tickets are kept in the library.

Class Tickets are a great way for those children who may not have their own personal membership card via their families to get access to great books to read or help them with their homework.

If you teach in an RBK school and want to bring your class to the local library just ring the library and book an appointment with the Services Development Librarian: Childrens Services, in your area. To find out who they are click here.

Playgroup Tickets

Want to top up your book collections and get access to the latest childrens books?

Playgroups, Childrens Centres, Creches and other groups working with children can get their own Playgroup ticket. These tickets entitle the groups to 20 items for 6 weeks. All you need is a letter or an official document relating to the group and a contact name.
