Children
 
At Kingston Libraries we have lots of activities for children from 0 – 16 all year round.
 
All 7 libraries in Kingston have areas specifically for children. Find out here about library services for you and your family.
 
Joining the library is simple and free. You don’t even need to live in Kingston. You will need a parent or guardian to sign your application. With your library card you can borrow books and CDs.

 

 

Benefits for children

 

  • Free reservations – if you are under 18 you can reserve childrens and teen items that are on loan or at another library, absolutely free.
  • No fines – likewise, for under 18s on teens and childrens items there are no late fees.
  • Events and activities looking for something fun and free to do? Come and join us at the library.
  • Children's events - funtimes, reading groups and holiday activities
  • Rhymetimes and Storytimes - free weekly sessions for under fives and their families.
  • All Kingston's libraries have Internet accessible computers you can use for free
  • Printing costs - we charge a small fee.
